South Fulton Chamber of Commerce is GOING GREEN!!!

SFCOC Logo

Dear South Fulton Chamber,

As you know, the need to protect our natural resources and environment is becoming more urgent with each passing day.  The South Fulton Chamber of Commerce is ready to answer the call, and we are pleased to announce that the South Fulton Chamber is "going green!"

At the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce, we recognize that "going green" is more than catchy phrase, but it is a way of life.  Over the coming weeks and into the future, we will be uniting our members, as well as joining forces with other key organizations, to educate the South Fulton community and take important steps toward doing our part to protect the environment.

The Biofuels Racing Alliance (BFRA) is a racing organization that is committed to and promotes the use of alternative fuel sources.  Each of the cars, trucks, and motorcycles within BFRA's fleet are powered by ethanol and biodiesel that has been produced using waste and renewable resources.  At the "Good Things" Luncheon, John Christmas of BFRA will share the benefits of converting waste, such as used cooking grease, and renewable resources into biofuels for use in vehicles.

No stranger to South Fulton , Steve Nygren of Serenbe has been a leader in sustainable development in Metro Atlanta.  Unlike many suburban subdivisions, Serenbe is a community that has been developed to conform with the natural environment, rather than reshaping the natural environment to conform to it.  Principles of sustainability have been incorporated throughout the community, which features EarthCraft Homes, neighborhood businesses, an organic farm, walkable neighborhoods, and extensive greenspace.  Mr. Nygren will join us for the "Good Things" Luncheon to provide his expert insight into the importance of sustainability for the future of our planet.

As you can see, so many "Good Things" are happening in South Fulton , and at the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce.  We look forward to sharing this exciting new initiative with you at the September "Good Things" Luncheon!
